The project is organized in 3 Chapters:
Chapter 1) Dawn Cerny will produce 12 tabletop sculptures (“Holders”) and gift them to a diverse group of art collectors, curators, writers, and artists. The project participants will receive a kit to build their “Holders” with project instructions and list of questions and goals for user. Twelve recipients will have 6 months to curate their treasured small objects and ephemera and are encouraged to keep a journal on the evolution of that activity.
Chapter 2) After living with and curating the holders for approximately 6 months, RITE Editions will photograph the “assisted” holders, and design and print a publication on the project.
Chapter 3) Exhibit the curated holders. In addition to the original 12 kits there will be 20 more “Holders” available (in blue, red-orange, yellow and green) for sale during Dawn Cerny’s tabletop sculptures exhibition. price tbd.
